NAPFM Conference and Exhibition
Monday 13th – Wednesday 15th August 2007
Working together to make it happen
May the Force Be With You, well maybe not Jedi Knights and light sabres but certainly Police and Police car light bars. The National Police Fleet Managers conference and exhibition just keeps on growing with around 14,000 square metres of exhibition space and in excess of 1,200 visitors this is the premier event for all who service and work within the emergency market and we are proud to be part of it. Our company’s long association with NAPFM and Emergency services throughout the United Kingdom ensures we stay on the right track meeting the needs of our customers. Over the years we have all seen many changes affecting the way the suppliers have to perform to meet the increasing demands and service expected from suppliers and government agencies.
The NAPFM conference and exhibition is the ideal platform for suppliers to discuss the latest advancements in technology and is testament to how the private and public sector can work together in a shared approach to achieve the best levels of service and perfection in the development of new equipment.
The 2007 show proved challenging for all who attended, the British summer did it’s worst with high winds and torrential rain, in fact on the Tuesday morning we lost one of our PINK marquees when a sudden gust of wind caught the front of one and sent it into the air with two members of Pro-tect staff hanging to the inside, but I’m pleased to report that none of our portable signs blew away. Luckily with a little help from other exhibitors and NAPFM staff we managed to salvage our remaining marquee and continued with the show in true Dunkirk spirit (just goes to show how working together will make it happen).
The original venue for the show was at Wiltshire Police Headquarters in Devizes, but due major building works starting for the joint emergency service centre in 2001 the show moved to Wroughton offering greater opportunity for suppliers to truly exhibit the products and services available. With over 400 vehicles on display and numerous equipment suppliers, this has allowed the show to flourish, now becoming a truly international event. With the continual increase in visitor numbers we always have a busy show and this year was no exception, in fact the best to date with enquiries from several overseas delegates and continued support from the emergency services and service providers. As designers and manufacturers of safety equipment we shall continue to push the boundaries of road safety devices ensuring the best possible equipment and service is provided.
We wish to thank all involved in the event organisation and everyone who gave us assistance at this years show.
